Database of phreeqc in Phreeqc and PhreeqcRM (version 3.7.3)

Hi Dear Mr. Parkhurst

I'm using PhreeqcRM and the database of phreeqc in PhreeqcRM are suitable ''for calculating pressure dependence of reactions, with molal volumina of aqueous species and of minerals, and critical temperatures and pressures of gases used in Peng-Robinson's EOS.''

But the database of phreeqc in Phreeqc are suitable "for calculating temperature and pressure dependence of reactions, and the specific conductance and viscosity of the solution. Based on: diffusion coefficients and molal volumina of aqueous species, solubility and volume of minerals, and critical temperatures and pressures of gases in Peng-Robinson's EOS."

Why the database of these are different?

Will the phreeqcRM and database of phreeqcRM be update base on alculating temperature and pressure dependence of reactions, and the specific conductance and viscosity of the solution?

The database and code that you have for PHREEQC is a newer version.

We are in the process of updating PhreeqcRM with these and other capabilities, but we have not posted a revised version on the USGS web site.

If you want to use a beta version of PhreeqcRM you can go to the github site https://github.com/usgs-coupled/phreeqcrm.

Excited to see a newer version of PHREEQCRM. I wonder if the python methods were included. I noticed that a few python files were in the folders.

You should be able to use Python beta version of PhreeqcRM:

conda install -c conda-forge phreeqcrm

or

pip install phreeqcrm
