Ion pairing
« on: 21/12/17 06:54 »
Hello everyone,

I am new to phreeqc. I have a data set I would like to calculate saturation indices for. Does the software compute probable ion pairs? And automatically take them into account when calculating saturation indices?

Thank you!

Yes.

Ion association models account for ion pairs in the calculation of saturation indices.

The Pitzer specific-ion-interaction model also includes a few ion pairs.
