Selection of multiple databases?
« on: 08/05/14 14:25 »
Wondering if it is possible to run simulations in the same file but using different databases?

E.g., simulation 1 using phreeqc.dat and simulation 2 using llnl.dat

I had a quick browse of the manual but couldn't find any documentation relating to the use of multiple databases. I will continue looking.

Might be useful for comparative studies if the option exists...

No. Only one database file is allowed per run.

If you want to get fancy, the Python example in the IPhreeqc paper makes some calculations with different databases under scripting control. However, it just makes runs with each database in sequence.

Thanks David,

I didn't think there would be, just trying to find out as much as possible about the various capabilities.

Good to know about the Python code.
