I'm a geotechnical engineer currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Bristol, UK. I am interested in the nature and formation of sulfur-species in geological materials, and their implications for civil engineering.

PHREEQC forms an important part of my attempts to model the distribution of sulfate in weathered soils and is useful for predicting the suitability of laboratory tests for sulfur-species.

I hope through this forum that we can encourage civil engineers to consider the importance of geochemistry and in particular, the benefits of PHREEQC.
