Initial release of PHAST version 3 and updates to PHREEQC (3.2.2)

The primary enhancement in PHAST version 3 is that the old coupling to PHREEQC (version 2) has been replaced with the recently released reaction engine PhreeqcRM (Parkhurst and Wissmeier, 2015), which is updated to the latest PHREEQC. PHAST version 3 has parallelization by either OpenMP (multithreaded) or MPI (multiprocess). Phast4Windows has been updated to run either type of parallelization, and MSMPI is included in the installation to enable MPI runs, which appear to be more efficient. Input and output for version 3 is the same as version 2. The new version of PHAST is available at
http://wwwbrr.cr.usgs.gov/projects/GWC_coupled/phast
.
Version 3.2.1 of PhreeqcRM fixed a serious bug in units conversion for mg/L when using H2O as a component.
Version 3.2.2 fixes other relatively minor bugs in PHREEQC and includes modifications to CO2 in pitzer.dat to fit better solubility and density at high T and P. More details are available at the "Release notes" and "Status of PHREEQC programs" links at
http://wwwbrr.cr.usgs.gov/projects/GWC_coupled/phreeqc
.
All PHREEQC programs and modules now have configure and CMake capabilities, which allow simplified compilation for various operating systems and versions of Visual Studio.
