Addition of a non ideal organic phase
« on: 16/04/21 13:39 »
Hello,
is there a way to append a non-ideal organic phase to Phreeqc for liquid-liquid extraction modeling?
Thank you for your advice.
Yours Sincerely,
Carine

Phreeqc does not have any liquid phases other than the aqueous phase.

You could probably cobble something with SOLID_SOLUTIONS, where one component of the solid solution represents the solvent and other component(s) represent one or more solutes. Binary, non-ideal solid solutions (activity coefficients) are available, but non-binary solid solutions use only mole fraction for activity.

Hopefully, there are better alternatives.
