There is no CaO/Ca(OH)2 Phase in phreeqc datebase
« on: May 14, 2019, 06:32:53 AM »
Hi,
I want to add some CaO or Ca(OH)2 as primary phase to puffer H+, but there is no CaO or Ca(OH)2 phase in phreeqc datebase, so i cant use the keyword PHASES. What should i do?

Thanks in advance.

You can add a REACTION or KINETICS with the formula CaO,

or you can use a database that has CaO or Ca(OH)2, for example wateq4f.dat has Portlandite

or you can define new PHASES in the input file, for example:

PHASES
Portlandite         539
        Ca(OH)2 + 2H+ = Ca+2 + 2H2O
        log_k           22.8
        delta_h -31.0 kcal
END
