1D nitrification and denitrification
« on: 28/09/18 11:02 »
Hi,

I have a question regarding the calculation of the pe value when I simulate the nitrification and denitrification.
The result showed that the pe would be +14, but in terms of theory, it was higher than I expected.
I want to realize whether I have wrong input.

Thanks

PHREEQC calculates redox equilibrium among all redox elements. I am sure this applies to your calculation. You can use any solution during the TRANSPORT simulation, and you will find that the pe calculated from any redox couple will be the same as any other redox couple.
