running phreeqc

there seems a problem in the the way i installed the current
build: 3.4.0-12927.msi.

i tried running ex1 but encountered an error:

ERROR: Can't open file, C:\Program Files (x86)\Phreeqc\Examples\ex1.out.
Stopping.
Calculation time: 0.06 s. Estimated CO2 emission: 0.00 g.

appreciate if you can help.

Maybe you didn't have the admistrative previlege, so the phreeqc can't write its output file.

Yes, copy the directory somewhere that you have write privileges.
