Dear all,
Sorry for that simple question, but I cant find anywhere a suitable formula, information or similar...
The Kinetic exists out of a series of parameters and for the first, the initial moles of the reactant. Please can someone help me, what for input is necessary? In the manual I found the explanation that it also depends on the grain size, but when I recalculate the example (page 314, ManualV3) for getting out the values of the Quartz Example (4.15 Appelo &Parkhurst) it doesnt match.

The shrinking core model for the evolution of surface area as minerals dissolve assume that the surface area changes in relation to (M/M0)^n, where M is the current moles of mineral, and M0 is the original moles of mineral. n is an empirical exponent.
The use of M0 is not required. You can define RATES any way that you want, either accounting for evolution of surface area or not.
